Kit Harington will now play Gilderoy Lockhart in Season 2 of HBOโs โHarry Potterโ series, replacing Nicholas Hoult, who exited the production due to scheduling conflicts.
Harington recently voiced Lockhart in Audibleโs โHarry Potterโ audiobooks, which released late last year. The character is central to the plot of the second book, beginning as a famous and arrogant wizard known for his many heroic acts. He then becomes the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts, but it quickly becomes clear he isnโt qualified for the job.
