Stephen A. Smith’s daughter Samantha stole the show and hilariously roasted her dad during a recent appearance on his podcast.
Samantha joined the famous sportscaster for the Aug. 19 episode of “The Stephen A. Smith Show” podcast and took some time to poke fun at her dad’s highly-debated hairline.
Smith’s social media comments are frequently filled with fans, and critics, commenting on his hairline, and his 16-year-old daughter decided to add to the running joke. In a clip from the end of the latest episode, Samantha’s sendoff included rapid fire jokes at his expense.
“This is it for this edition of ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show’ with Samantha A. Smith and Stephen A. Smith. Thank you guys so much for tuning in,” Samantha said after taking the microphone from her dad.
She then took her hand and covered her dad’s forehead as he leaned closer toward the camera. “Yes, his forehead still has space left, you guys. There will always be space,” she quipped.
“No, he cannot afford a hair transplant. Keep watching so he can afford it,” she added.
She ended her message by encouraging his listeners to follow her public Instagram and to search for her secret account.
“I’ll be back next week, probably. Don’t miss me too much,” she said.
During her monologue, the sports journalist bowed his head, pretending to be embarrassed.
“Roasted…by my own daughter…on MY own show…smh,” Smith captioned the clip.
Fans on X and YouTube enjoyed Samantha’s back-and-forth with her dad and requested she make more appearances on the podcast.
“Keep bringing her back ahah,” one X user wrote.
Another said, “It’s HER show now.”
A third marveled at the similarities between the father-daughter duo, tweeting, “She speak fast just like her dad and she looks exactly like her father… No DNA test needed.”
Fans on YouTube agreed, with one writing, “She is the female version of him 2.0.”
Others suggested that Samantha return to the podcast along with Smith’s nephew Josh, who has also delighted fans whenever he is a guest on an episode.
“Cant wait to see her and nephew Josh roast you at the same time,” one YouTube user commented.
Samantha, who is turning 17 later this month, promoted her dad’s podcast on her Instagram and posted some of her favorite moments from the episode. In one clip, she told him, “They can’t even hear you. Thank God you guys can’t hear him. You can only hear me. We’ve been praying for times like this! Stephen A. is not talking, yes!”
In another funny moment, the two pretended to argue about whether or not she is allowed to date. “I do date,” Samantha said.
“What?!” her dad responded in disbelief as she tried to move onto the next question. “When? Get back here!” he told her.
The final video in the post showed Smith asking his daughter why “Love Island” is so popular.
“Don’t you want to find love?” she replied.
Smith responded, “Huh? I have love.”
“I don’t. Put me on ‘Love Island,’” she said with a laugh while her father looked stunned. “That was a joke,” she added.
In addition to Samantha, Smith is also a proud dad to daughter Nyla. He mentions his daughters on his ESPN sports show, “First Take,” from time to time. For example, he revealed on the show in September 2023 that he spent $20,000 on tickets to take his daughters to Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour.”
