World of Warcraft Forever Sets Release Date for November

Blizzard Entertainment will launch โ€œWorld of Warcraft Forever,โ€ a game set during the first year of the original 2004 โ€œWorld of Warcraft,โ€ Nov. 4.

The โ€œForeverโ€ project was revealed as the final announcement during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026 at the Anaheim Convention Center on Saturday, but rumors about the title (colloquially known as โ€œWorld of Warcraft Classic+โ€ among fans speculating online) have been swirling for weeks.

Blizzardโ€™s โ€œWarcraftโ€ chief Holly Longdale said that developers intend for the world of the game to be a main character in โ€œForeverโ€ and noted that in this new MMO itโ€™s โ€œthe journey that counts, not the destination.โ€

At launch, the game will have a level cap of 60, include three new zones, several overhauled zones, and a new race called Skyborn Elves.

Additionally, the โ€œWarcraftโ€ team announced a new campaign for โ€œWarcraft 3,โ€ the first in more than two decades, which launches today.

BlizzConโ€™s opening ceremony also included announcements about a new โ€œStarCraftโ€ game coming in 2030, โ€œDiablo Vโ€ releasing in 2029, and a โ€œDiabloโ€ animated TV series in the works at Netflix.
