What Time Is WWE SummerSlam? Match Cards for the 2-Night Event



The biggest wrestling event of the summer is here.

Fan-favorite wrestlers will face off at WWE SummerSlam 2025, and it’s expected to be a major showdown. John Cena, who announced he would retire at the end of 2025, will battle Cody Rhodes in a highly-anticipated street fight. The night before the official start to SummerSlam, Cena seemingly abandoned his heel persona after shocking audiences in March when he became the “villain” of the match.

SummerSlam will also see World Heavyweight Champion Gunther go up against CM Punk, who returned to the franchise in 2023.Tiffany Stratton is also set to defend her Women’s Championship title against Jade Cargill.

When Is WWE SummerSlam 2025?

WWE SummerSlam 2025 will take place this weekend on Saturday, Aug. 2, and Sunday, Aug. 3, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This is the first time the event will be held across multiple days.

What Time Does WWE SummerSlam Start?

SummerSlam 2025 will start on Aug. 2 and Aug. 3 at 6 p.m. ET/ 3 p.m. PT​​​​.

Before each night’s matches, there will also be a SummerSlam Countdown with expert analysis about the event starting at 3 p.m. ET/ 12 p.m. PT on WWE.com, Peacock and WWE social platforms.
