Timothรฉe Chalamet Thanks Kylie Jenner, Wins Best Actor at Critics Choice Awards

Timothรฉe Chalamet took time to honor his longtime girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, when he took home the Critics Choice Award on Sunday night for his role as aspiring ping-pong champion Marty Mauser in โ€œMarty Supreme.โ€

โ€œThank you to my partner for three years. I love you. I couldnโ€™t do this without you,โ€ he said when accepting the best actor trophy. โ€œThank you from the bottom of my heart.โ€

When the camera cut to Jenner, she mouthed โ€œI love youโ€ in response.

During his speech, the actor also gave a shout-out to his fellow nominees. Chalamet was nominated alongside Leonardo DiCaprio for โ€œOne Battle After Another,โ€ Joel Edgerton for โ€œTrain Dreams,โ€ Ethan Hawke for โ€œBlue Moon,โ€ Michael B. Jordan for โ€œSinnersโ€ and Wagner Moura for โ€œThe Secret Agent.โ€

After hesitating, Chalamet admitted, โ€œIโ€™m more nervous than I thought Iโ€™d be.โ€ He then went on to thank Josh Safdie, who co-wrote and directed the movie. โ€œYou made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didnโ€™t preach to the audience about whatโ€™s right and wrong. I think we should all be telling stories like that,โ€ he said. โ€œThank you for this dream.โ€

Earlier in the night, โ€œHacksโ€ stars Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs walked the carpet in matching bright orange vinyl ensembles, paying homage to Jenner and Chalametโ€™s outfits at the premiere of the A24 film.

โ€œMarty Supremeโ€ premiered on Christmas Day, debuting at No. 3 in North America behind โ€œAvatar: Fire and Ashโ€ ($64 million) and โ€œZootopia 2โ€ ($20 million), making $17 million over the traditional weekend.
