‘Saiyaara’ Star Ahaan Panday, Sharvari’s Ali Abbas Zafar Film Titled

Ali Abbas Zafar’s romantic action-drama pairing “Saiyaara” breakout Ahaan Panday with Sharvari will be called “Beparwah,” Yash Raj Films revealed Monday.

The title reveal came exactly five months before the film opens worldwide in theaters on March 26, 2027, the Good Friday holiday. Aditya Chopra produces. “Beparwah” is the first time Panday and Sharvari have shared the screen.

Until Monday, the film had been known only as Zafar’s untitled next. Yash Raj Films first set the March 2027 date in July, while the production was shooting in the U.K., where much of the film was made.

“Beparwah” reunites Zafar with Chopra for a fifth time. Their earlier collaborations were romantic comedy “Mere Brother Ki Dulhan” (2011), crime drama “Gunday” (2014), wrestling drama “Sultan” (2016) and spy thriller “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017). The last two, both toplined by Salman Khan, were blockbusters for the banner. Zafar co-wrote the script with Chopra.

Since “Tiger Zinda Hai,” Zafar has directed Khan again in “Bharat” (2019), created the Prime Video political series “Tandav” (2021) and helmed “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” (2024), an Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff action vehicle.

Panday made his screen debut in Mohit Suri’s “Saiyaara,” a YRF musical romance opposite fellow newcomer Aneet Padda that became one of the biggest Bollywood hits of 2025. It grossed more than $65 million worldwide and became the highest-grossing Indian love story on record. Panday is the nephew of actor Chunky Panday and a cousin of actor Ananya Panday.

Sharvari launched her career in YRF’s “Bunty Aur Babli 2” (2021) and broke through with the 2024 horror-comedy “Munjya,” which crossed $14 million at the box office. This July, she starred opposite Alia Bhatt in “Alpha,” the first female-led entry in YRF’s spy universe franchise.

The “Beparwah” cast also includes Bobby Deol, Sharvari’s “Alpha” co-star, and Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of Shiv Sena party founder Bal Thackeray, who plays the antagonist.

Founded in 1970 by the late Yash Chopra and now run by his son Aditya, YRF is one of India’s leading studios. Its spy universe, which includes Zafar’s “Tiger Zinda Hai,” also spans the “War” and “Pathaan” films.
