Veteran Italian auteur Nanni Morettiโs โIt Will Happen Tonight,โ featuring French star Louis Garrel andย Italian A-lister Jasmine Trinca (โLa Storia,โ โSupersexโ) has been pre-sold widely byย Paris-based international sales company Playtime ahead of its Venice world premiere in competition on Saturday.
Though the plot is being kept under wraps, โIt Will Happen Tonightโ. is loosely based on the short story collectionย โHungry Heartโย (Lev Raev) by Israeli writer Eshkol Nevo. โHappen Tonightโย will mark the first time in more than two decades that Moretti โ who has had nine movies in competition at Cannes โ will launch a movie from the Lido.
โIt Will Happen Tonightโ has been sold by Playtime to Germany (Neue Visionen), Austria (Panda), Switzerland (Xenix), Benelux (Cineart), Portugal (Midas), Greece (Danaos Films), Finland (Future Film), Sweden (TriArt), Denmark (Another World Entertainment), Bulgaria (CineLibri), Romania (Independenta), Ex-Yugoslavia (MCF), Ukraine (Kyivmusicfilm), Russia (A-One), Turkey (Bir Film), Israel (New Cinema), Taiwan (Andrews Film), Brazil (Imovision) and Latin America (CDI).

Sacher Film and Fandango produced โIt Will Happen Tonightโ in collaboration with RAI Cinema.
Pan-European indie group Vuelta is co-producer of the film, through its French distribution division, Pan Distribution and Playtime.
