Kevin Hart and Henry Cavill’s spy comedy at Netflix has added three to its cast.
Jason Isaacs (“Harry Potter,” “The White Lotus”), Justine Lupe (“Nobody Wants This,” “Succession”) and Aja Naomi King (“Lessons in Chemistry,” “How to Get Away With Murder”) have joined the yet-to-be-titled film. Details about their roles are kept under wraps.
McG is directing the project, which hails from writers Jonathan Tropper, Adam and Aaron Nee, and Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux.
The logline of the film reads as follows: “When two rival spies cross paths in a Lamaze class and their wives become fast friends, their double lives collide in unexpectedly hilarious and dangerous ways, forcing the two men to reluctantly become confidantes and partners on the road to fatherhood.”
The movie is produced by Shawn Levy and Dan Levine for 21 Laps; Ryan Reynolds, Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau for Maximum Effort; Hart, Luke Kelly-Clyne and Bryan Smiley for Hartbeat; and McG. Executive producers include Emily Morris for 21 Laps, Aaron Edmonds for Hartbeat, Patrick Gooing for Maximum Effort and John Scotti, Sean Lewis, Mary Viola and Josh McLaglen. The project is the latest in a string of collaborations between Netflix and Hart, whose films “Lift,” “Me Time,” “The Man From Toronto” and “Fatherhood” recently debuted on the platform. His latest comedy, “72 Hours,” premiered on Netflix in July.
Isaacs is represented by Strand Entertainment, Gersh and Independent Talent Group. Lupe is repped by CAA and Narrative PR. King is repped by Gersh, Door 24, Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern LLP and The Lede Company.
