Kelly Clarkson’s 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, shares her mom’s love of singing.
The mom of two invited River Rose on stage to sing with her during a July 18 show she had at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, part of her ongoing residency in Las Vegas.
When River Rose went on stage, she gave her mom a big hug before she joined Clarkson in singing “Heartbeat Song.” Fans captured the moment on video and shared it on social media.
“We’re going to do her favorite song,” Clarkson told the crowd.
The “Breakaway” singer then turned to her daughter and told her she looked “super cute” in her black jeans and graphic T-shirt, which matched her mom’s outfit.
In a clip, River Rose can be seen jumping up and down beside her mom once they started singing the chorus together. Clarkson later placed her arm around her daughter, who was smiling from ear-to-ear.
“Adorable,” one person said of the video on X.
Another wrote, “This is so sweet,” and a third added, noting the mother and daughter’s similar outfits, “Theyโre twinning!”
“Heartbeat Song” holds a special place in River Rose’s heart. When Clarkson performed the same tune with her daughter in 2023 as part of her first Las Vegas residency, she told the crowd why River Rose likes the upbeat track so much.
โSheโs been jamming to this song since she was a baby,โ the three-time Grammy-winner said. โShe loves this song so much, so she was like, โCan I sing this song?โ”
On July 4th, Clarkson was supposed to embark on her second Las Vegas residency, โKelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions.” However, she ended up postponing the start of her residency because of vocal issues.
โThe prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for yโall and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve,โ she said on Instagram.
Due to the postponement, Clarkson didn’t start her residency until July 11. She’ll be performing there throughout the summer, with her final “Studio Sessions” show scheduled for November.
