Homeless ‘Ned’s Declassified’ Actor Gets Help Offer From ‘Mighty Ducks’ Star

โ€œMighty Ducksโ€ star Shaun Weiss posted on social media Monday that he is offering help to Tylor Chase, a former child actor who appeared on the Nickelodeon series โ€œNedโ€™s Declassified School Survival Guide.โ€ Chase recently went viral after a social media video showed him homeless and living on the streets of Riverside, Calif.

โ€œI have received many messages about [Tylor Chase],โ€ Weiss said in a video shared to his Instagram. โ€œI reached out to some friends of mine, and we have a bed for him at a detox, and we have a place for him to go and get long-term treatment.โ€

Weiss added, โ€œAll we need to do now is find him. Iโ€™m not in Los Angeles, or I would go look for him myself.โ€ He noted that if anyone can โ€œget a face-to-faceโ€ with Chase, โ€œplease DM me so we can get him some help in time for the holiday.โ€

Chase played Martin Qwerly, a talkative and intelligent middle school student, on โ€œNedโ€™s Declassified School Survival Guideโ€ throughout the showโ€™s three-season run. His other credits include an appearance on โ€œEverybody Hates Chrisโ€ and a role in the 2007 indie film โ€œGood Time Max,โ€ starring James Franco.

In the viral video of Chase, the person recording asks if he was on Disney Channel, to which the former child actor clarifies that he was on Nickelodeon. When asked the name of the show, he responds, โ€œโ€˜Nedโ€™s Declassified School Survival Guide.’โ€

Weiss is best known for portraying goalie Greg Goldberg in the 1992 film โ€œThe Mighty Ducks,โ€ along with its sequels โ€œD2: The Mighty Ducksโ€ and โ€œD3: The Mighty Ducks.โ€ He has been open about his sobriety journey, including sharing in 2022 that he celebrated his two-year anniversary of sobriety, writing the caption, โ€œRecovery is possible.โ€
