Guillermo Rodriguez is ready to hit the dancefloor.
Jimmy Kimmelโs lovable, tequila-fueled and basically mononymous right-hand man has joined the cast of โDancing With the Starsโ Season 35.
He is the latest celebrity contestant to be announced on the upcoming season, following โThe Traitorsโ and โLove Islandโ star Maura Higgins, โSummer Houseโ fixture Ciara Miller and Savannah Bananas player Jackson Olson. The full cast of celebrities and professional dancers will be announced on Sept. 2 on ABCโs โGood Morning America.โ
โDancing With the Starsโ Season 35 will premiere on ABC and Disney+ in September, with episodes airing the next day on Hulu. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough host the long-running dance competition series, which pairs celebrities with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines. The judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough, and the show is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios.
Robert Irwin and Witney Carson were the Season 35 champions, while social media personality Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy came in second place. Olympic artistic gymnast Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa finished third, reality television personality Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach wound up fourth and actress Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten finished fifth.
Rodriguez worked at โJimmy Kimmel Live!โ for more than 23 years, going from a parking lot security guard to a fixture of the late-night talk show. He is featured every night alongside Kimmel and has developed his own segments, including his boozy appearances on the Oscars red carpet.
