Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as the artificial intelligence trade suffered on Thursday, and what’s on the radar for the next session. Delta The airline releases earnings Friday morning in the 6 a.m. hour ET. Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian will join “Squawk Box” live in the 7 a.m. hour. The stock is down almost 6% in three months. Shares are down 14% from the July 2 high. DAL 3M mountain Delta Air Lines in the past three months PepsiCo’s pop Jim Cramer did a great take on the stock on “Mad Money” Thursday night after the report came in with reduced guidance . PepsiCo was up almost 4% in the session. Organic revenue, net revenue and an earnings per share beat were all keys to Thursday’s optimism according to Cramer. Cramer said the real story here “is the outlook and the cutting of earnings growth down to 2.5% to 3.5%.” He said, “There’s nothing wrong with Pepsi’s sales. Some of that raise was due to the company’s price cutting.” Cramer added, “CEO Ramon Laguarta is doing many things the right way.” The stock is down 10.6% year to date. Cramer said, “You can do a lot worse than buying Pepsi down here.” The stock also gives investors “real income,” he said, with a $5.92 annualized dividend. The yield is as 4.61% as of Thursday night. Shares are down 25% from the February high. France The French 10-year yield is trading around 4.8%. The iShares MSCI France ETF (EWQ) tracks France’s biggest stocks like Renault, Carrefour, Total, Dassault, and of course Danone and L’Oréal… oui! The EWQ is down 2% so far this week and down 9% in a month. EWQ 1M mountain The iShares MSCI France ETF (EWQ) in a month Oil and energy Brent futures were last around $104 a barrel. West Texas Intermediate crude futures were around $91. The S & P Energy sector is up 3.8% this week. Every stock in the sector is up this week with Marathon Petroleum and Valero leading the way, both up more than 9%. ExxonMobil and Chevron are both up about more than 2%.
