โThe Great British Bake Offโ co-host Alison Hammond is reassuring fans that sheโs โfineโ after making a swift exit from her gig on ITVโs โThis Morningโ due to a health scare.
โHello, my lovelies,โ Hammond said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories later Friday. In the clip, which is overlaid with the text โAnything to have a day off,โ Hammond is seen lying down in a bed wearing a hospital gown.
โI know youโre all worried about me. Honestly, I am fine, first of all,โ Hammond says. โBut Iโm getting my old ticker checked out. I had a little bit of a palpitation, and now Iโm getting it all checked out. But I think Iโm OK. Iโm hoping it was just a little panic attack or something like that. I love you all. Thank you for all your lovely messages.โ
Hammond was on screen with โThis Morningโ co-host Dermot OโLeary when she experienced the episode, and after the following ad break, OโLeary told viewers she had to โduck outโ because she was feeling โunwell.โ
In her video, Hammond went on to apologize to ITVโs โThis Morningโ for having to exit the show unexpectedly due to the scare.
โIโm so sorry I left you. I would never normally do that,โ Hammond said. โI would never leave a TV show. So you know I wasnโt very well. But hopefully, Iโm going to be all right. The doctors are so lovely, and theyโre checking me out. And hopefully, everythingโs going to be fine. I love you. Everything is fine. Look, Iโm rocking it. Look how good I look. Still got my makeup on from this morning!โ
