โWheel of Fortuneโ announcer Jim Thornton has been fired from the game show, Sony Pictures TV confirmed. โFollowing a thorough investigation, Jim Thorntonโs employment withย โWheel of Fortuneโย has been terminated, effective immediately,โ the studio said in a statement.
According to insiders, Thornton wonโt be heard on the show when it returns for a new season on September 14, as an interim announcer has revoiced all of Thorntonโs parts on the shows. No permanent replacement has been announced.
