Bloominโ Brands, which also owns Carrabbaโs Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Flemingโs Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, confirmed the closures.
โThese are business decisions that are part of our ongoing turnaround plan,โ a Bloominโ Brands spokesperson said. โWe considered a variety of factors, including sales and traffic, trade areas, and potential investments to improve performance.โ
Employees at shuttered locations were offered opportunities to work at nearby restaurants if available, the spokesperson said.

As of its most recent quarterly filing, the company operates more than 1,450 restaurants, including more than 670 Outback Steakhouse locations in the U.S.
