Outback Steakhouse closes more locations nationwide



WASHINGTON โ€” More Outbackย Steakhouse locations are closing across the country.ย 

Bloominโ€™ Brands, which also owns Carrabbaโ€™s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Flemingโ€™s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, confirmed the closures.

โ€œThese are business decisions that are part of our ongoing turnaround plan,โ€ a Bloominโ€™ Brands spokesperson said. โ€œWe considered a variety of factors, including sales and traffic, trade areas, and potential investments to improve performance.โ€

Employees at shuttered locations were offered opportunities to work at nearby restaurants if available, the spokesperson said.

As of its most recent quarterly filing, the company operates more than 1,450 restaurants, including more than 670 Outback Steakhouse locations in the U.S.
