Kate Mansi to Exit ‘General Hospital’ After Three Years

Actor Kate Mansi is bowing out of โ€œGeneral Hospitalโ€ after three years in the role of Kristina Corinthos Davis.

Itโ€™s understood that Mansiโ€™s final episodes will air in June.

News of Mansiโ€™s departure was first reported Sunday by Soap Opera Network and confirmed by soap journalist Stephanie Sloane with comments from with Mansi and โ€œGeneral Hospitalโ€ executive producer and showrunner Frank Valentini.

Mansi joined โ€œGeneral Hospitalโ€ in 2023 after a nine-year run on NBCโ€™s โ€œDays of Our Lives.โ€ On โ€œGeneral Hospital,โ€ she stepped into a role that had previously been played by Lexie Answorth.

Mansi was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award last year for her work on โ€œGeneral Hospital.โ€ She won a Daytime Emmy in 2017 for playing Abigail Deveraux on โ€œDays of Our Lives.โ€ She has directed two episodes of โ€œGeneral Hospitalโ€ during her time on the show.

Mansi told Sloane that it was her decision to leave the show at the end of her current contract. She described her time on โ€œGeneral Hospitalโ€ as having โ€œbeen such a meaningful and unforgettable ride. Iโ€™ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family.โ€

In a statement, Valentini asserted, โ€œWe love Kate and support her decision to leaveโ€ and suggested that she would be welcome back. โ€œThe door is always open and we appreciate all that she has added to the show these past three years,โ€ he said.

Mansiโ€™s other credits include the Amazon/Freevee drama series โ€œCasa Grande,โ€ which aired in 2023, and was followed by a โ€œCasa Grandeโ€ film that debuted earlier this month on Prime Video. She toplined the 2019 NBC miniseries โ€œDays of Our Lives: Chad and Abby in Paris.โ€ Mansi also starred in the 2020 indie feature โ€œLegend of the Muse.โ€
