Netflixโs advertising business more than doubled its advertising revenue to $1.5 billion from 2024 to 2025 โ and itโs on track to keep growing. โWe expect that [advertising] business to roughly double again in โ26 to about $3 billion,โ Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters said during an earnings call on Tuesday, hours ahead of its live viewer voting-enabled Star Search event. โWeโre making good progress, and the opportunity ahead of us is massive.โ
The jump comes as Netflixโs ad-supported streaming subscription continues to grow, with the companyโs $7.99 per month plan reaching more than 94 million people each month as of May 2025. Netflix aims to launch more AI-powered tools for advertisers this year, building on the format that allows companies to blend their ads with scenes from the streaming serviceโs shows and movies. Peters adds that the company plans to roll out โinteractive video adsโ in the second quarter of this year, too.
