The 1969 animated short film is making its NBC debut today, Thursday, Dec. 4, and thereโs a couple ways that people can tune in and watch.
โFrosty the Snowmanโ follows a jolly snowman who comes to life after a group of children place a magic top hat on the icy figure. It first aired on Dec. 7, 1969 on CBS and continued to run on the network for the last 55 years before now making its way to NBC.
The festive film, written by Romeo Muller, was inspired by the song โFrosty the Snowmanโ by Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins. A number of sequels and spinoffs, including โFrostyโs Winter Wonderlandโ and โThe Legend of Frosty the Snowman,โ have since been released.

If you miss the holiday classic, or simply want to enjoy it again, it will re-air on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The jolly tale will also air on Freeform over the weekend. Tune in to watch on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 5:35 p.m. ET/ 8:35 p.m. ET, as well as Sunday, Dec. 7 at 11:55 a.m. PT/ 2:55 p.m. ET.

What Is โFrosty the Snowmanโ About?
โFrosty the Snowmanโ begins when magician professor Hinkleโs school Christmas Eve party doesnโt go as planned. After he tosses his top hat, a group of children stumble upon it. They make a snowman, name it Frosty and place the hat on his head.
Frosty then comes to life and bonds with the kids. However, as the temperature changes and rises, they fear for Frostyโs future.
