“Dancing with the Stars” tips its hat to the genre of rock ’n’ roll on its Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night in Week 8 of the competition.
For the Nov. 4 “DWTS” episode, the remaining eight couples salute a few rock legends as they dance to hits by The Beach Boys, Bon Jovi, Elton John, the late Ozzy Osbourne and more.
The night begins with an opening number set to “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard and “Fight The Power” by Public Enemy choreographed by Britt Stewart. It will also feature a tour number to “Hey Ya!” by Outkast, choreographed by Mandy Moore, and a troupe dance to “Higher Ground” by Stevie Wonder.
Former Public Enemy rapper Flavor Flav, himself a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will appear as a guest judge during Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night.
In a fun twist, the show’s co-hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will each join one of the two teams who will dance during special live performances by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees Chicago and Kool & the Gang.
Then, the eight competing couples will hit the dance floor with their routines.
Last week’s “Halloween Night” episode saw the elimination of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Jen Affleck and Jan Ravnik.
The episode also revealed that “Parent Trap” star Elaine Hendrix had to be hospitalized after sustaining a rib injury during rehearsals. She and pro partner Alan Bersten advanced in the competition after being judged on their taped rehearsal routine.
Read on to learn which rock songs each couple will dance to on the Tuesday, Nov. 4 episode of “Dancing With the Stars,” airing at 8 p.m. on ABC.
