Emily Blunt has got a whole new ‘do for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”
On Thursday, Aug. 14, the actor was spotted filming the sequel to the 2006 hit movie in New York City and sported a platinum blond hairstyle that was cut into a shoulder-length bob.
Blunt’s new hairstyle complimented the stylish look of her character, Emily Charlton, who, in the first “The Devil Wears Prada,” was a former assistant to Runway magazine editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).
The actor brought her character to life by wearing a striped black-and-red sweater that had the words “N.Y” embroidered in the center, a silver tie, and a pair of high-waisted black shorts, which she wore with stockings and heels.
Blunt’s hair color is a major change from the red hair she sported in the first film. However, the new look may be due to the film’s storyline because Blunt was initially seen rocking Emily’s signature hairstyle on set in late July.
Photographers captured the actor on the streets of New York with red locks, sporting a long-sleeved Dior shirt under a black-and-white corset suit.
Though not much is known about “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” it has been confirmed that the movie’s original stars, including Streep, Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci, are set to return for the sequel with Blunt.
There will also be some appearances from new actors as well. Lucy Liu, B. J. Novak and Simone Ashley have also been confirmed to be a part of the project.
On July 21, Hathaway teased the sequel on Instagram when she shared a cute video of herself walking past a large statue that was shaped like a 2 wearing a beautiful maxi dress and a bucket hat.
“👠👠 #dwp2,” she captioned the post.
Then, on that same day, she also posted a video on TikTok of herself brushing her teeth while she wore a cerulean blue sweater.
As some fans may know, her character, Andy, got called out by Miranda Priestly (Streep) in the first film, for wearing the same colored sweater.
“Heading to werk #dwp2,” she penned the caption.
In NYC, fans also caught Streep filming for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” In late July, the actor was seen wearing a brown trench coat, a purple blouse and a brown leather skirt, while shooting the movie.
