Jenna Bush Hager is in her bob era.
Speaking to TODAY.com, Jenna revealed whether or not she plans on keeping her short hairstyle after getting her hair cut on live TV last month.
“Am I keeping the bob? As of now, there’s no way not to keep the bob because it won’t grow that fast. But I do like it. I like it a lot more than I thought I would,” Jenna said.
Jenna cut her hair during the June 16 episode of TODAY with Jenna & Friends, co-hosted by actor Leslie Bibb.
Bibb’s bob on “The White Lotus” Season 3 went viral. Celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan, who created the “White Lotus” look, came to TODAY with Jenna & Friends to give Jenna a chop of her own.
Jenna praised McMillan, calling him a “genius.”
“If anyone has a chance to get your hair cut by him, go ahead and do it,” she said.
Right after she made the change, Bibb raved about the look. “You look sexy and powerful and glamorous,” Bibb said. “You look so great.”
However, Jenna’s kids were less enthusiastic. A video that Jenna played on air showed her kids scrunching up their faces once they saw her new hairstyle.
“I don’t like it,” Jenna’s 13-year-old daughter, Mila, stated.
“What are you doing?” a shocked Poppy, 9, said. Hal, 5, took in the look and ran away.
Though her kids weren’t fans of the bob, Jenna said her husband, Henry Hager, loved her hairstyle.
“The best thing is, my husband, he was like, ‘Damn, that’s hot,’ which was sweet,” Jenna told Bibb.
Jenna’s not the only one to make a big hair change this summer. Kelly Clarkson debuted her new bob during a promo video for Season 29 of “The Voice,” which aired on July 24.
“Kelly Clarkson got a bob? Kelly, call me! We’re in the bob club!” Jenna said, reacting to the news.
