Todd and Julie Chrisley Address Divorce Rumors After Prison Release

Todd and Julie Chrisley are reflecting on the time they spent apart while in prison and discussing the status of their relationship following their release.

The couple answered a few “tough questions” on the latest episode of their daughter’s “Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley” podcast, including rumors that they plan to divorce.

“No, no. Let me set the record straight,” Julie Chrisley, 52, said on the July 8 episode. “We are not getting divorced.”

For over two years, Todd Chrisley, 56, served time at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while Julie Chrisley was sent to the Federal Medical Center Lexington in Kentucky.

The “Chrisley Knows Best” stars were originally sentenced to a combined 19 years in prison after being found guilty of federal fraud charges and hiding their wealth from tax authorities in 2022. Todd Chrisley’s 12-year sentence was later reduced by two years, and his wife’s seven-year sentence was shortened by 14 months.

After they were sentenced, Savannah Chrisley immediately began advocating for her parents’ release.

On May 27, it was announced that Julie and Todd Chrisley were set to be pardoned by President Donald Trump. The following day, they were released from their respective prisons and later reunited at their Nashville home.

During the podcast conversation, Julie Chrisley said that they “settled back in fairly easy” when it came to their relationship.

The Chrisley patriarch agreed and said it was because he always kept his wife in his thoughts.

“In my mind, I was never away from her, and I would tell her in the emails every day,” he shared. “I said, ‘I’m with you every step you take and feel my love surrounding you at all times.’ So when I went to bed at night, she was right there with me. When I woke up and I did my prayers, she was right there with me.”

The thought of ever separating never crossed Julie Chrisley’s mind, she said, despite not being able to speak to each other while incarcerated.

When reflecting on their first night together back at their home, Todd Chrisley said he was “so grateful just to get in the bed with his wife.

“And I think you said it best,” he said to Julie Chrisley. “There was no awkwardness. There was no, ‘What are we supposed to be doing?’”

The pair, who have been married since 1996, said they naturally fell back into their old routine.

Part of that previous routine included filming their reality show with their family.

Aside from Savannah Chrisley, the couple are also parents to sons Chase and Grayson Chrisley. Additionally, Todd Chrisley is a father to daughter Lindsie Chrisley and son Kyle Chrisley, whom he shares with ex-wife Teresa Terry.

In May, shortly before her parents’ prison release, Savannah Chrisley revealed that they would resume filming their show.

“We have a new show coming out on Lifetime, and it will document all of these things,” she told reporters outside of Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida. “We’re excited.”

The network did not immediately respond to TODAY.com’s request for comment at the time.

During the podcast episode, Todd Chrisley confirmed his and his wife’s participation in the new series.

“We all know that we’re all back together as our family and that we will start filming again for the new show,” he said.

The family did not share any additional details, including a premiere date or who else would be involved.
