Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck are hitting the dance floor.
The two “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” stars will be competing in Season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The news was first revealed during the reality show’s reunion special that debuted on Hulu on July 1, when host Nick Viall told the girls which one of them will be on the Emmy-winning series.
“Tonight we are going to be announcing who is going to be on the next season of “Dancing With the Stars!'” he said as everyone gasped.
Viall noted that โmostโ of the cast auditioned for the role and out of everyone who auditioned, only Affleck and Leavitt will be on the show.
After hearing the news, Affleck started to tear up.
“I hope you know you’re going down,” she jokingly told Leavitt.
The official Instagram account of “DWTS” also confirmed the news. On July 1, the show shared a clip of the reunion special when Viall told Affleck and Leavitt that they were going to be dancing their way to the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
“The Mormon, the merrier! Welcome to #DWTS, @jenniferlaffleck and @whitleavitt ๐ฏโโ๏ธ,” the post read.
Affleck and Leavitt will be joining influencer Alix Earle and wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin on the dance floor.
On May 22, Earle shared the news in a TikTok video of herself trying to do the whisk, writing, “It’s okay … Guess I’ll learn this Season on DWTS.” A month earlier, Irvin revealed himself as the first cast member of Season 34 while attending Disney Entertainment Televisionโs Get Real Event April 22, per E! News.
Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro will be returning as hosts for the new season of “DWTS.” As a former pro dancer on the series, Hough reflected on what the show meant to her in an Instagram post.
