Why Kody Brown Shut Down A ‘Sister Wives’ Interview: ‘Not Cool’

Kody Brown grows increasingly agitated during a conversation about his sexual relationship with one of his wives in the final “Sister Wives: One on One” special of Season 19.

The topic comes up when host Sukanya Krishnan plays a clip of the reality star talking about a “sexual experience” he had in college that went against his “religious values.”

Later on, she asks if Kody Brown had “any other sexual experiences” before he met Meri Brown, his first wife.

The father of 18 laughs as he says, “There were other options that got close.”

Kody Brown goes on to describe himself as “Mormon naughty” in high school.

“What does ‘Mormon naughty’ mean?” Krishnan then asks.

“It means I would kiss and hug, but no actual intercourse,” he explains.

Krishnan then uses sports terms to relate to the reality star, who played football in school. “So you never got the touchdown, but you got some picks,” she says.

Kody Brown laughs awkwardly in response and says, “You know, out of respect for my wife, I’m going to quit discussing this with you. You guys can act like it’s the world’s business all you want.”

“We’re just having some fun,” Krishnan notes.

“No, we just crossed a line, so it’s done,” he says, still smirking.

The scene then shifts to Christine Brown Woolley, one of Kody Brown’s three ex-wives, who suggests that Kody and Robyn Brown may have been sexually intimate before marriage despite their claims otherwise.

“We’ve all seen their engagement photos and I just automatically think, ‘Huh.’ I wonder how close they got before they were married,” she says.

Robyn Brown then addresses the situation in her own interview with Krishnan, saying, “He didn’t kiss me until he asked me to marry him. And it wasn’t a kiss. It was a stamp. You know, his face smashed mine. That was it. You know, it wasn’t anything super sexy.”

When Krishnan pushes the topic, bringing up Christine Brown Woolley’s speculations, Robyn Brown says she and Kody Brown only shared “little church kisses” before their wedding.

“Something you can do in front of your pastor or your bishop,” she says.

The scene returns to Kody Brown and Krishnan, who says she “loved our conversation about Mormon naughtiness.” Kody Brown then shuts down.

“No, we’re not talking about my sexuality. No, come on. That was, crossing the line.

“No, it was not about your sexuality. It’s about you and Robyn,” Krishnan clarifies.

“That was not a cool discussion,” he says as he shifts in his seat.

The reality star then explains why he’s so annoyed.

“I give a little bit here and it’s like, I give an inch. I’m generous. And it’s like, ‘Well, let’s dig into his life.’ I didn’t think that was cool,” he says.

While appearing on an episode of “The Sarah Fraser Show,” Krishnan recently addressed another moment during their interview that led Kody Brown to stare at her in silence.

“The stare down is pretty awesome. When it was happening, I was like, ‘Is he not talking?’ I was in my head. I was like, ‘Is he just not going to talk to me?’” she said.

Krishnan elaborated on the matter, saying, “It went on for about a minute 30. Think about staring at somebody for a minute 30 dead in their eyes.”
