Spoilers ahead for “Love Island USA” Season 7, Episode 21.
Where in the world have Nic and Olandria gone on “Love Island USA”? That was the big question left heading into Season 7, Episode 21.
In the episode prior, two original islanders, Olandria and Nic, had been eliminated from the show in two dramatic re-couplings. Six of the guy bombshells in Casa Amor were tasked with choosing among the seven girl islanders to couple with, and Olandria was left as the single one out. Nic, who had been among the six guy islanders left back at the villa, had to exit the villa in the same situation.
The girls in Casa had tearfully bid adieu to Olandria — and just after the guys said farewell to Nic, a twist threw things for a loop. A black car pulled up to the villa to greet Nic — and there was Olandria, ready to take him … well, where?
So that’s where Episode 21 picks up. Here’s what happened next.
What Happens With Nic and Olandria?
The end of the last episode left viewers eager to know what happens with Nic and Olandria. Where are they going? What are they supposed to do? What does it all mean?
Episode 21 answers those questions: The black car takes Nic and Olandria to … a date. They sit at a table for two beneath twinkle lights and debrief the last few days over Champagne.
“I have so much to tell you,” Nic says. “I want to hear everything.”
Olandria tells Nic about Cierra, who had spent her few days at Casa Amor getting to know a bombshell named Elan. Cierra had been conflicted about this, however, because she already had strong feelings for Nic back at the villa. Nic, meanwhile, had told Cierra before Casa Amor that he wanted to keep seeking other connections.
“That worries me,” Nic tells Olandria. “I told her I wanted to be open because I want to test this connection, but I felt like she wanted to be closed off. But then now I’m sitting here, like, I didn’t find anybody. And she found somebody in Casa. It’s going to be a test, for sure.”
Now Nic tells Olandria about Taylor. He had been vibing in the villa with a bombshell named Clarke.
“Taylor’s my good friend, but I’m putting that off to the side right now,” he says. “Coco chose Taylor first. The girl I was coupled up with, Clarke, chose him at the re-coupling. He feels this emotional connection with her. And he also feels this physical connection with her.”
“If you’re able to take my man from me, Taylor was never mine to begin with,” Olandria says to Nic.
Then Nic gets a text: He and Olandria both now have a choice. They can each remain single but they must leave the island tonight — or they can couple up and return to the villa together.
Olandria’s in favor of coupling to return to the villa. Then Nic adds, “I just want to say, I’ve been wanting to get to know you. I feel like we haven’t had the opportunity to get these conversations. And this text is the opportunity to do that.”
Olandria agrees — she felt Nic had a lot going on with Cierra and Belle-a and didn’t want to insert herself.
So that’s when Nic and Olandria execute a plan to get back to the villa. After the guy islanders and girl bombshells head to bed, Nic and Olandria sneek back in. They get into their PJs, creep into the bedroom and crawl into the same bed as a new couple.
As the sun rises, the viewers see what happens. They’re all shocked — sort of? — to see Olandria and Nic back at the villa. Nic tells the rest of he guy islanders about what he learned about Casa from Olandria. Taylor seems like he’s in the biggest pickle: He’s vibing with Clarke, but that could get weird now that Olandria’s back.
Later, Nic and Olandria chat a bit about their own situation. Nic says he felt a connection with Olandria from the beginning of the show. Olandria is smitten but admits in a confessional that this is complicated; Taylor is one of Nic’s closest friends, while she and Cierra are also tight.
After a challenge between Casa and the villa, Nic and Olandria wrap the night with a chat in Soul Ties.
“I think there’s a strong physical connection between Olandria and me,” Nic says in a confessional. “She’s one of the most attractive people I’ve seen in my lifetime.”
Just after cutting to Cierra — who’s says in a confessional that she’d be disappointed if Nic had found a connection back at the villa — the episode wraps as Olandria and Nic share a steamy kiss.
