Tallulah Willis Responds To Critical Fan Over Photos Of Father Bruce Willis

Tallulah Willis’ recent Instagram post featuring new pictures of father Bruce Willis led to some critical comments, including one she replied to.

The actor’s youngest daughter with ex-wife Demi Moore is responding to a bit of backlash she received for sharing photos of her with her dad on Instagram on June 22.

Some fans took issue with the younger Willis’ decision to post the shots of her father, who has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. One person disapproved of the 31-year-old posting the photos for privacy reasons, prompting her to reply.

“I don’t think you should expose your dad to the public! He is vulnerable! And some things should be kept private! You don’t have his permission to post it!” the person wrote in the comments.

“Hi. I hear that. As a family we use our discretion when posting,” Tallulah Willis responded. “Today was a great day filled with smiles. I made the judgement call to show that to the world, because I know what he means to everyone.”

The post featured one image of the “Die Hard” star, who turned 70 in March, smiling at his daughter, as well as one of them hugging each other and another of him with Tallulah Willis’ fiancé, Justin Acee.

“Sunday funday at Grams ! Grateful 🕊️,” Tallulah Wills captioned the post, alluding to spending time at her grandmother’s home.

While some people took issue with her decision to show Willis, many supported it.

“Thank you for sharing your dad with us, these precious moments are so beautiful ❤️,” one person wrote.

“As a caregiver for my mom, who battled Alzheimer’s for over 10 years, your posts are a beautiful way of showing the joy in the small moments,” someone else explained. “Having a network of families who share this experience, and who are NOT judgmental, is everything. Those making negative comments hopefully will never have to go through this. I wish you all the best. ❤️”

“I love and appreciate your photos of your dad. All I see is absolute love and support and smiling faces,” another person commented. “I truly think these photos are a lovely gift to your family and to the world. The comments by clueless individuals make me think they wouldn’t have the compassion you have as a family. I feel as though they may lock their family member away out of shame and embarrassment, which I find cruel. So much love sent to you and your sweet family. ❤️‍🔥”

“This is a loving picture. There should be no criticism of her posting this picture. Bruce and his daughter are raising awareness, so this can be cured someday,” another fan wrote.

“Thanks for sharing Bruce with us. It’s good to see his smile and yours as well,” commented one other person.

Tallulah Willis has previously spoken about the challenges her dad’s condition presents, noting she and her family wanted to make it something positive.

“The bigger version of what I’m trying to do (is) if we can take something that we’re struggling with as a family and individually and help other people to turn it around, to make something beautiful about it, that’s really special for us,” she said on “The Drew Barrymore Show” in 2023.

Last year, Tallulah Wills appeared on TODAY and gave an update on her father, noting the closeness in the family.

“He’s doing stable, which in this situation is good, and is hard,” she said. “There’s painful days, but there’s so much love.”
