OWN is giving a spotlight to Black women entrepreneurs.
The network’s new reality series, “Heart & Hustle: Houston,” will follow an “incredible” group of Black women who are “redefining what it means to be a boss, a wife and a mother while navigating entrepreneurial life,” per a press release from the network.
Out Aug. 2, the series stars Alaina Saulsberry, 38, Chloe Cook, 44, La’Torria Lemon, 36, LeBrina Jackson, 35, Muneera Page, 43, and Roe Pichardo, 39.
“Despite appearing to have it all, they face insecurities and pressures to stay on top in a competitive town while maintaining a perfect image,” the press release says. “But through it all, their unbreakable bond of sisterhood and support inspires them to rise above the chaos, reminding them it’s okay to be perfectly imperfect.”

Alaina Saulsberry, 38
Alaina Saulsberry is the founder and CEO of the beauty brand Color du Jour. She’s been married for 15 years and has two kids.

“After the sudden loss of her father who was also her best friend, La’Torria is determined to find the love of her life and begin to settle down. Wanting five kids total, she is feeling the pressure getting older and realizing that no one man measures up to how great her dad was,” per OWN.
Roe Pichardo, 39
Roe Grady-Pichardo has a “reputation in the restaurant and nightlife world,” per OWN, thanks to her work as an entrepreneur and “hospitality innovator.”
After leaving her last restaurant, she’s put her efforts into a consultancy, the Organized Chaos Group. She also balances her work with being a single mom.
What does the trailer show?
A trailer shows the stars laughing and smiling alongside one another as they work toward their goals.
“Being strong female entrepreneurs, all of us own our own businesses. We’re trying to excel in all different lanes. A lot of us are wives, some of us are moms and we have a real sisterhood,” Muneera says.
Although all of the women genuinely seem to support one another, they do still butt heads from time to time.
In one scene, Alaina tells Chloe that she’s “tasteless” after she learned that her co-star talked about her husband and said he wasn’t attractive.
Then in another scene, Muneera has a heated conversation with La’Torria and calls her “shady.”
“We can agree to disagree because I’m kind of done with it,” La’Torria responds.
No matter what they go through, the women seem to have one another’s backs.
“At the same time, there’s always a lot of drama, there’s always a lot of mess, but we talk about our shambles, so we can put the pieces back together as friends,” LeBrina says.
