Sophie Turner loves herself a little treat.
On July 9, “The Dish,” a podcast hosted by British presenter Nick Grimshaw and chef and restaurateur Angela Hartnett, dropped its interview with the “Game of Thrones” star. She made Hugo Spritz cocktails and gabbed with the hosts about her career and more.
During the chat, she remarked on her her lack of skill in the kitchen, but her passion for good food and shared a lot of her food likes, of which she has many: jacket potatoes, New York salads and what she calls a regular obsession: chocolate.
“One of the other things we noticed in your food likes was quite a lot of chocolate,” Grimshaw says. “How often are we indulging in the pursuit of great chocolate?”
“Every day, daily,” Turner says, adding that her go-to is Milky Way.
“I have in my house like little jars of, you know, proper food, like pasta and whatnot, and then right next to it is my jar of Milky Ways,” she explains.
Grimshaw asks her if anyone else gets to enjoy the candy.
“You know, the kids will try and take one but, ‘Hands off, that’s Mommy’s,’” Turner says, batting an imaginary hand away.
It’s worth noting that Milky Way bars in the United Kingdom — where this podcast was recorded — are slightly different from those in the States. Across the pond, Milky Ways don’t have the caramel layer that American ones have, which would make them more like Three Musketeers here.
Though she has an aggressive sweet tooth, Turner is also passionate about one savory food.
“You know what? I love sausages,” Turner says. “I really love them. I used to have a sausage reviewing page on Instagram. I did, called ‘Sophie’s Sausage Reviews.’”
The entire studio bursts out in laughter at this — but it’s true. But, unfortunately, she can’t run it anymore for a pretty relatable reason.
“I forgot my password,” she says.
