CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Real estate investment trust Simon has acquired Phillips Place, the open-air shopping center in Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood, the company announced Tuesday.
The 134,000-square-foot retail center features more than 25 shops and restaurants, including alice+ olivia, Peter Millar, rag & bone, Ralph Lauren, Veronica Beard, RH Gallery with a Rooftop Restaurant, and The Palm.
Phillips Place is part of a mixed-use development that also includes a hotel with more than 180 rooms, which Simon also owns, and a residential component.
Simon said it plans to maintain “the exceptional shopping experience Phillips Place is known for” while enhancing the center with new offerings.
