Founded in 1996, the company’s chicken fingers and iconic Cane’s Sauce are staples of the Louisiana-born business.
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill, South Carolina, will soon welcome a new major chain restaurant: Raising Cane’s.
On Wednesday, the company confirmed to WCNC Charlotte it was setting up shop at 520 John Ross Parkway, located off Dave Lyle Boulevard and right by I-77. Raising Cane’s plans to bring its signature chicken finger meals and Cane’s Sauce to the new location by the end of 2025 or early 2026. The chain also said it hopes to further expand into the Charlotte market beyond that opening.
The company, founded in 1996 near Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, has grown to feature 917 restaurants across 42 states and in Guam, along with locations in the Middle East. So far, there are four locations in the Palmetto State, with three of them in the Charleston area and the other one in Clemson. Just one restaurant is located in North Carolina, in Chapel Hill.
Raising Cane’s has opened a handful of flagship restaurants as well, featuring one-of-a-kind merchandise and signature city flair. These flagship locations are on the Las Vegas Strip, Miami Beach, Nashville, and on Michigan Avenue and Madison Avenue in Chicago. The world flagship location in Times Square in New York City.
The restaurant chain is led by founder and co-CEO Todd Graves and COO AJ Kumaran. The company is named after Graves’ beloved yellow Labrador. In addition to its chicken fingers and Cane’s Sauce, the company is known for its crinkle-cut fries, Cane’s toast, coleslaw, and lemonade and iced tea served over the chain’s signature crushed ice.
