The company said it is also making changes to its board leadership.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Harry Sideris will become the new president and CEO of Duke Energy, the Charlotte-based utility company announced on Monday.
Sideris is set to take over April 1, replacing Lynn Good as she retires.
Sideris has worked with the company for nearly 30 years and has been serving as the president since April 2024. With Duke Energy, he has handled everything from customer service to power plant operations.
The outgoing CEO, Lynn Good, has spent almost 20 years with Duke Energy, with 11 of those years as its top leader. The board praised Good’s leadership, noting how she helped the company adapt to changing times.
Sideris thanked Good for her guidance and expressed optimism about the company’s future.
Duke Energy’s board leadership is also seeing a shake-up, the company said.
Ted Craver, who joined Duke’s board in 2017, will become the board’s independent chair. Craver previously led Edison International, another major power company.
