CBS has released the 16 houseguests that will move into the โBig Brotherโ house for an unforgettable summer.
On July 8, the network shared the 16 houseguests who are ready to compete, form alliances and possibly stab each other in the back when the show returns for Season 27. Among the cast are a gamer, bridal consultant, AI consultant and aura painter who are all hoping to outlast the rest and win the grand prize of $750,000.
Last week, the show revealed in a press release that the 90-minute premiere, which airs Thursday, July 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, will feature the arrival of a โmystery houseguest.โ
Although CBS is still keeping the playerโs identity a secret, the network revealed that it will be dropping hints about the 17th houseguest on the showโs Instagram account over the next two days.
Host Julie Chen Moonves described the unknown player as โvery polarizingโ in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. She anticipated โa strong reaction in both directions for this mystery houseguest.โ
The introduction of the mystery houseguest isnโt the only twist that viewers will see unfold during the premiere. โA masked visitorโ and โa secret accompliceโ will make an appearance as well, according to a previous press release.
Chen Moonves spoke more about what fans can expect this season in a premiere preview shared with the cast announcement.
โWelcome to โBB 27!โโ she says before the camera pans to show the newly designed โBig Brotherโ house, which is being referred to as โHotel Mystรจreโ this season. โWeโre celebrating 25 years of โBig Brotherโ with the biggest season yet.โ
โOur mystery-themed house has secrets,โ she adds.
Chen Moonves then highlights some additions to the house, like bunkbeads, two lounges and a โvenom bar.โ She also confirmed that the โBB AI Arenaโ โ a new competition that was introduced last season allowing players to save themselves from the block on eviction night โ is returning.
Following the premiere, there will be another 90-minute episode of โBig Brotherโ on Sunday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Then, the live feeds will begin at 9:30 on Paramount+* and Pluto TV.
