โLittle People Big Worldโ star Matt Roloff and fiancรฉe Caryn Chandler are calling off their engagement.
In an Instagram announcement, Matt Roloff wrote that he and Chandler made the decision to โpart ways & end our engagement.โ
โLifeโs a continued journey and this is the right step for us at this time,โ he continued. โWe remain amicable and will always appreciate the many wonderful memories we have shared.โ
He thanked followers for their support, adding that heโs โcommitted to moving forward with positivity and trust in the path ahead.โ
After dating for six years, the pair announced their engagement in April 2023 on social media.
At the time, Matt Roloff wrote that they planned to โenjoy our engagement and we are looking forward to a simple but elegant wedding in 2024.โ
The reality star rose to fame on TLC show โLittle People, Big World,โ which followed the lives of both Matt Roloff and his ex-wife, Amy Roloff โ both of whom have dwarfism.
The former couple was married from 1987 to 2016 and share four children: twins Zach and Jeremy, daughter Molly and son Jacob.
The reality show profiled their split, as well as the new relationship forming between Matt Roloff and Chandler, who worked at Roloff Farms. In 2021, Amy Roloff married Chris Marek.
Amy Roloff opted against inviting Matt Roloff to her second wedding, as she explained on the show.
โChris and I debated whether to invite Matt and Caryn to the wedding, but we decided against it. I think it causes less drama and I think thatโs better for everyone,โ she said at the time, per People.
Matt Roloff separately said he told Marek he would โabsolutely notโ be offended at the possibility of not receiving an invite to the nuptials.
โWe had a conversation and (Marek) goes, โAre you going to be offended if we donโt invite you to the wedding?โ (I said,) โAbsolutely not, letโs just take it off the table, make it simple,โโ he said at the time.
