โ€œ24โ€ star Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early Monday after an alleged physical altercation with a Hollywood ride-share driver, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities said that around 12:15 a.m., the LAPD responded to a call about an assault involving a rideshare driver near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue. Sutherland, son of Shirley Douglas and the late actor Donald Sutherland, broke into Hollywood starring in Rob Reinerโ€™s 1986 coming-of-age drama โ€œStand By Me,โ€ and Joel Schumacherโ€™s 1987 subversive teen horror โ€œThe Lost Boys.โ€ Some of his other early works include โ€œCrazy Moon,โ€ โ€œBright Lights, Big City,โ€ โ€œFlashback,โ€ โ€œThe Flatliners,โ€ โ€œTwin Peaks: Fire Walk with Meโ€ and โ€œA Few Good Men.โ€

Sutherland is probably best known for playing counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer across eight seasons of the Fox thriller series โ€œ24.โ€ It won 20 Emmys during its run, including two acting prizes for Sutherland. In 2012, the show was rebooted into 12 episode mini series, โ€œ24: Live Another Day.โ€

His recent credits include films like โ€œTinsel Town,โ€ โ€œStone Cold Fox,โ€ โ€œJuror #2โ€ and โ€œThey Cloned Tyrone.โ€
