Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were spotted holding hands in Paris on the singer’s birthday.
Perry and Trudeau’s night out was captured in part through videos shared across social media and photos published by Backgrid. The brief clips showed the singer and former Canadian prime minister exiting a building holding hands on Oct. 25, which marked Perry’s 41st birthday.
Perry wore a long red dress for the occasion, styling her hair in a slicked-back bun to show off her statement earrings, while Trudeau wore a simple black suit.
Later in the video, Trudeau helped Perry into the back of a car, while photographers at the scene wished the singer, who is in the middle of her “Lifetimes Tour” in Europe, a happy birthday.
TODAY.com has reached out to representatives for Perry and Trudeau for comment.
Perry was previously in a relationship with Orlando Bloom for nearly a decade, though the couple announced their split back in July.
The pair began dating in 2016 but split one year later. They rekindled their romance in 2018 and got engaged in 2019 on Valentine’s Day. They later welcomed daughter Daisy in August 2020.
At the time their split went public, reps for Bloom and Perry shared a joint statement about their separation, revealing the couple had “been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.”
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect,” the statement said.
Trudeau, who served as prime minister of Canada from 2015 to January 2025, was previously married to Sophie Grégoire for 18 years before he announced in August 2023 that they had separated. The former couple are parents to three children: sons Xavier and Hadrien and daughter Ella-Grace.
In the weeks after news of Perry and Bloom’s split broke, Trudeau was seen at one of Perry’s concerts over the summer in Montreal, singing along in the crowd. The rumored couple were also spotted together at the beginning of August.
While Perry hasn’t said much about the breakup publicly, Bloom addressed the couple’s split during a September appearance on TODAY.
“I’m great, man. I’m so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter,” Bloom told TODAY’s Craig Melvin. “You know, when you leave everything on the field, like I did in this movie, I feel grateful for all of it. And we’re great. We’re going to be great. It’s nothing but love.”
