Jon Hamm has gone from โMad Menโ to fanboy.
During an April 10 appearance on TODAY, the Emmy-winning actor revealed he’s a huge fan of Latin trap and reggaeton artist Bad Bunny. In fact, Hamm has visions of catching one of his upcoming shows in Puerto Rico, which kick off July 11 and run through Sept. 14.
โItโs kind of a thing,โ Hamm told Savannah Guthrie on TODAY, while gushing about the Grammy-winning artist.
โWell, weโre hoping to go to Puerto Rico. Iโm excited because heโs doing this residency where heโs doing a month and a half of shows in Puerto Rico,” he said. “First of all, I think itโs really cool that heโs going back to his home, to really kind give back to the fans. Heโs reserving the first four, five or 10 shows, or whatever it is, for only residents of Puerto Rico, which is so cool.โ
In an Instagram video on Jan. 13, Bad Bunny surprised fans by announcing his first ever residency, โNo me quiero ir de aquรญ,โ in Puerto Rico following the release of his album โDebรญ Tirar Mรกs Fotos.โ
Per the venue’s website, the first nine shows are for โPuerto Rico residents only.โย ย
Hamm and Bad Bunny appeared together during a Q&A sketch on โSNL50โ earlier this year, which only heightened Hammโs appreciation for him.
โHeโs a really nice guy. And heโs funny. And heโs fun and his music is awesome,โ he said.
Hamm also said the โDรกkitiโ hitmaker likes to call him by the nickname โJon Jamรณn,โ which translates from Spanish to โJon Ham.โ Hamm also noted that his music puts him in a good mood.
โYou canโt listen to his music and not smile. I just love his story. Heโs a really nice guy. Heโs funny. Heโs an โSNLโ guy, too. They love him over there,โ Hamm said.
They also seem to love Hamm over there, too. Heโll be hosting โSNLโ for the fourth time on April 12. Fans can also check him out in his new AppleTV+ series, โYour Friends & Neighbors,โ which premieres April 11.
