Jennifer Aniston Says She and Gwyneth Paltrow Talk About Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt’s relationships with Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow may not have worked out, but the two ladies ended up finding friendship with each other.

Aniston, who was married to Pitt from 2000-2005, opened up about her unlikely bond with Paltrow, who dated and was once engaged to Pitt in the ’90s, in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

As it turns out, Aniston and Paltrow first met through Aniston’s “Friends” co-star David Schwimmer, who starred in the 1996 movie “The Pallbearer” with Paltrow.

“Ironically, I went to her and Brad’s engagement party,” Aniston recalled.

Pitt and Paltrow called off their engagement in 1997, People reported at the time. He would later propose to and marry Aniston.

When the Vanity Fair interviewer asked Aniston if she and Paltrow ever discuss stories about their shared ex, the actor said, “Oh, of course. How can we not? We’re girls.”

Still, the longtime friends have a lot more in common than their famous ex.

“We’re always swapping advice — ‘What are you doing for this? What are you doing for that? Do you have a new doctor for that?’” Aniston said.

This isn’t the first time the famous pals have spoken about each other publicly. In 2019, Paltrow attended Aniston’s 50th birthday party and posted photos from the event on Instagram.

She described Aniston as a “ray of sunshine” and “example of perpetual goodness.”

In 2023, Paltrow also shared love for Aniston during a Q-and-A on her Instagram story. When one fan asked if Paltrow is friends with Aniston, she posted a photo of the pair embracing along with the following caption: “Yes I am so lucky,” per People.

In addition to her friendship with Aniston, Paltrow has also spoken candidly about her enduring bond with Pitt. In 2022, the exes participated in an interview for Paltrow’s Goop website and recalled their romantic relationship.

Although their romance didn’t work out, Paltrow and Pitt remain close.

“And it’s lovely to have you as a friend now,” Pitt said.

Paltrow agreed, and Pitt said, “And I do love you.”

She replied, “I love you so much.”
