Jelly Roll Has Match at WWE SummerSlam After Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre Moments

Jelly Roll is ready to rumble at SummerSlam after his first taste of action in a WWE ring.

The country music star had a busy weekend between tossing Logan Paul on “SmackDown” on July 11 and then getting hit by the legendary Claymore Kick finishing move from Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre a day later on “Saturday Night’s Main Event.”

The Grammy-nominated artist will now team up with Randy Orton to face off against Paul and McIntyre at SummerSlam coming up on Aug. 2-3 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, according to WWE.

Jelly Roll first tangled with Paul when Paul pulled the plug on a live performance by the singer in the ring during “SmackDown” on July 11 in Nashville.

The singer later got his revenge and got the crowd roaring when he came to Orton’s defense by grabbing Paul by the hair and sending him tumbling across the ring.

“Jelly Rolled him,” read one comment on the WWE Instagram post of the moment.

“I’m not gonna lie put jelly roll on the contract immediately,” another wrote.

However, the singer was on the other end of a devastating move involving McIntyre a day later in Atlanta. As Jelly Roll hovered over a downed Orton on the mat, McIntyre came flying in with his Claymore Kick to send Jelly Roll to the mat himself.

“Jelly Roll took that claymore like a champ,” one fan wrote on WWE’s Instagram post of the moment.

He looks to pay McIntyre back at SummerSlam, which will stream live on Peacock. (Peacock is owned by TODAY.com’s parent company, NBCUniversal.)
