Grace Kelly’s iconic sense of style lives on in her granddaughter Camille Gottlieb.
The 27-year-old honored her late grandmother with a special ensemble recently while attending the Monaco Red Cross Gala.
Gottlieb channeled Kelly’s stunning black-and-white gown from the 1954 film “Rear Window” in a custom dress from Italian designer Elisabetta Franchi.
On Instagram, Gottlieb shared a series of photos from the night out, including one of herself looking off into the distance as she posed in the gorgeous gown on a balcony.
“A look back at the gala of the Monaco Red Cross. Thank you to Elisabeth Franchi that I could pay homage to my grandmother with this magnificent dress,” she captioned the post in French.
Similar to her grandmother’s original dress, Gottlieb’s gown featured a black off-the-shoulder top and a white skirt. However, she added a modern touch to the look with a plunging neckline, a thigh slit and embellished vine detailing at the waist.
Gottlieb completed the look with a sleek updo and jewelry from Cartier, the brand behind Kelly’s iconic engagement ring, per Vogue.
In a separate post, Gottlieb shared a video of herself getting ready for the gala and explained that the new dress was “inspired by” her grandmother’s dress but “a little modernized” and “adapted for the gala.”
“When I was very little, people told me a lot that I resembled my grandmother. For me, it’s one of the best compliments somebody could give me,” she said in French.
Gottlieb went on to say it was “an honor to pay homage” to her grandmother.
“I hope she’ll be proud of me up there,” she said.
Overall, she said she was very pleased with how the outfit turned out and joked, “I hope my feet don’t hurt too much.”
The influencer didn’t have the opportunity to meet her grandmother, who died in 1982, but she certainly inherited her looks.
In 2017, Gottlieb had social media users doing a double take when she shared a photo of herself on Instagram. From her blond hair to her blue eyes and fair skin, Gottlieb closely resembled her grandmother, especially when she sported red lipstick in one of her photos.
