Stiles looking ahead to a rematch
NDP Leader Marit Stiles said tonightโs result wasnโt what the party wanted, but said she and her colleagues will continue to hold the government to account.
โBut the people of Ontario made their choice. Theyโve reelected the government โฆ and theyโve entrusted me and my team to do a different, but also very important job,โ said Stiles, who walked out to Shania Twainโs โMan! I Feel Like A Woman.โ
She congratulated Ford and committed to working with the PCs in the face of threats from the U.S., but said sheโs already looking ahead to the next election.
โIn another few years, we are going to face a rematch, and Iโm there for it, my friends,โ she told the NDPโs headquarters.
