Christina Haack Addresses ‘Christina on the Coast’ Cancellation Reports

Christina Haack is poking fun amid reports that her HGTV series “Christina on the Coast” has been canceled.

Us Weekly and People reported that “Christina on the Coast,” as well as other renovation shows, were canceled by HGTV. The network did not respond to TODAY.com’s request for comment.

Haack appeared to address the news on July 19 by writing a cheeky caption on Instagram. The reality television star uploaded a carousel of photos that showed her spending time with her children, friends and boyfriend Christopher Larocca.

“Summer so far. Basically just eating and laughing. Canceled looks good on me….” she wrote.

Haack added, “Only kidding only kidding” along with a red heart and a silly face emoji.

Fans expressed their disappointment about her show in the comments.

“I sooo loved ‘Christina on the Coast’!!! HGTV made a very bad decision!!” one commenter said.

Another wrote, “I am so highly upset at this network they canceled all my favorite shows!!! I really hope I see all you guys very soon!!!”

“Christina on the Coast” began in May 2019 as a spinoff series of “Flip or Flop,” which Haack led with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa for 10 seasons. The spinoff followed Haack as she updated homes in Southern California. It ran for six seasons, with the most recent episode airing March 13.

Fans of Haack will still get to see her on the network. Her series with Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa, “The Flip Off,” has been picked up for a second season, Us Weekly and People reported.

The Season 1 finale of “The Flip Off” aired March 5. The HGTV home-flipping series was initially supposed to be a competition between the El Moussas and Haack and Josh Hall, whom she was married to from 2021 to 2025, to see which team could earn the biggest profit from their projects. But prior to the show’s debut, Hall filed for divorce from Haack, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

So, the El Moussas and Haack continued to film “The Flip Off” as a trio. Haack told TODAY.com in an interview that she didn’t consider quitting the series after Hall departed.

“It was definitely not a thought,” she shared. “(Tarek, Heather and I) came up with the idea, it was always a plan.”

Her new beau, Larocca, made a special appearance in the finale as he gathered with friends and family members to see who won the last competition. The El Moussas were declared the winners as they earned a 38.51% return on investment while Haack scored a 23.89% return.
