Benny Blanco’s makeup skills aren’t getting any better.
The music producer hilariously showed that he’s still not good at doing makeup when he was asked to do Drew Barrymore’s makeup on the March 27 episode of her show.
Blanco, who appeared on the program with Gomez to promote their new album, “I Said I Love You First,โ was ready to take on the challenge head on.
While using products from Gomezโs Rare Beauty line, the couple each worked on one side of Barrymore’s face.
“What’s this thing?” Blanco asked as he held up a product.
When Barrymore answered that it was contour, he responded, “OK, I know where that goes.”
“You do?” the host asked.
“No,” Blanco responded as the whole room burst out into laughter.
As Barrymore tried to hold conversation with Blanco, he jokingly told her to “stay still” while he applied the contour.
Gomez lightly dabbed the product on Barrymore’s face and giggled at her beau, who did the complete opposite and drew full lines.
Once the contour was applied, Blanco asked Barrymore if he could touch her face to try blending in the product.
“Please,” Barrymore replied.
But once he noticed it wasn’t working, he asked Gomez if he should dip the makeup brush in water before he tried blending it again.
“What!” Gomez said shocked.
However, when Blanco switched back to dry makeup brush, he noticed it started to work.
“OK, things are happening,” he said.
The couple then took a brief pause to talk about their new album, “I Said I Love You First.” As Barrymore shared her take on romance, Blanco then used his finger to smear blush on Barrymore’s face while Gomez used a makeup brush.
After each time he applied more blush, the studio audience kept laughing.
“Why is everyone laughing? I think I’m doing a great job,” he said, which made Barrymore cackle.
“OK, I don’t know what you think is so funny,” he joked.
The last time Blanco showed off his makeup skills is when he attempted to do Gomez’s makeup in a video she shared on Instagram earlier this month.
His terrible execution made both Gomez and her fans laugh.
“This is the best thing I have seen in a very very long time ๐๐๐๐๐โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ,” one person commented on the clip.
The official IG account for Hulu wrote, “A for effort ๐ซถ,” and Blanco said, “I feel like i did pretty well.”
