Jon Hamm Is That Co-Worker With Extreme TMI in ‘SNL’ ‘Icebreaker’

“Saturday Night Live” showed just how uncomfortable icebreakers in the workplace can be.

Jon Hamm hosted “SNL” for the fourth time on April 12, marking his first hosting gig in nearly 15 years, though he’s made over a dozen cameos since.

The actor got to show off his comedic chops in a sketch that perfectly captured icebreakers with coworkers gone horribly wrong.

Andrew Dismukes led the charge for a group of new hires at a company and asked if they had ever done an icebreaker, with Hamm emphasizing that he “loved them.” He then instructed the group to share their name and a fun fact about themselves.

Dismukes kicked it off, sharing that his name was Chris, and he loved to garden, followed by Mikey Day as Derek whose fun fact was that he has a twin. Heidi Gardner went next as Cassidy, a former competitive swimmer, before Bowen Yang introduced himself as Philip who paints as a hobby.

Hamm went next and didn’t seem to get the memo on sharing an innocuous fun fact about himself. Instead, he made things weird.

“I am Greg, and my mom killed my dad naked on TV,” he said with a smile on his face as silence fell over the group.

Unfortunately, there was still one employee to go.

Andrew Dismukes and Ashley Padilla did not know what to make of Jon Hamm's confession.

Ashley Padilla seemed uncomfortable going next but proceeded anyways, introducing herself as Susan and confessing that she forgot her fun fact. Dismukes encouraged her to take her time, but all she could come up with was, “I’m Susan and I’m a woman.”

Dismukes carried on business as usual with the game, asking the group if anyone remembered someone else’s fun fact. Day rattled off some facts, including Dismukes’ and Yang’s first before adding, “And Greg’s mom killed his dad naked on TV.”

“Good memory,” Hamm quipped, still beaming.

Is it just "good memory," or an unforgettable fact? The world may never know.

Gardner went next, going through a few facts before landing on Hamm, adding, “And Greg’s dad killed his mom naked on TV.”

“Oh, close,” Hamm interjected, before correcting her. “My mom killed my dad naked on TV.”

Hamm proceeded with the game and seemed confident in his answers, including breezing over his own, though he got stuck on Padilla when he couldn’t remember her name.

“Janet,” she replied before Dismukes immediately corrected her, reminding her that her name was, in fact, Susan.

Dismukes moved the game along and introduced another layer to the fun — for anyone who remembered the name and fun facts of their colleagues, they could ask a follow up question.

Everyone skirted around Hamm’s confession at first, asking each other questions instead. The moment finally came when Gardner turned to Hamm and asked, “Greg, what show was it on?”

Hamm didn’t hesitate for a second when he replied “Jackass,” before immediately moving on to Yang. The group cycled through another round about one another before it came back to Gardner, and she opted to ask Hamm yet another question.

“Greg, was it funny or sad?” Gardner asked, to which Hamm replied, “Both!”

It came back to Hamm again, with Day asking, “Greg, what would I type into Google if I wanted to watch what you were talking about?”

Hamm had no qualms about divulging further information about his dad’s tragic death, telling Day, “Woman, ‘Jackass,’ party donkey, porta-potty, world record, Raven-Symoné, lesbian, November 5, 2002.”

“Okay, it’ll come up if I search all of those?” Day asked, with Hamm clarifying that “any two” of those keywords would suffice.

Dismukes tried to switch gears by suggesting that the group play two truths and a lie instead, but Padilla struggled with the concept, leaving Dismukes no choice but to call it a day.

“Well gang, you know, I thought it’d be good to get to know each other, but it was actually legit a huge mistake,” he confessed, before later suggesting, “I think there’s only one thing left for us to do.”

Hamm seemed to catch Dismukes’ drift before hesitantly asking, “Uh, watch the video?”

“You know it!” Dismukes responded, with the rest of the group cheering along.
