Many of Hollywoodโs top stars turned out for the 97th Oscars, held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles. โAnoraโ won five awards, including best picture and best actress for Mikey Madison in an upset over Demi Moore, who was nominated for โThe Substance.โ
Adrien Brody was named best actor for his performance in โThe Brutalist.โ Kieran Culkin received the Oscar for best supporting actor for โA Real Pain,โ while Zoe Saldaรฑa won the best supporting actress Oscar for โEmilia Pรฉrez.โ
The broadcast, which aired on ABC and streamed on Hulu, also featured a tribute to the firefighters and first responders who battled the Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year, and a newsworthy in memoriam segment.
