CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Big Ben British Restaurant & Pub, a fixture on Elizabeth Avenue in Charlotte for years, announced it is closing after this week.
“We are incredibly grateful for your support, your loyalty, & every memory made within these walls,” the business said in an Instagram post.
The restaurant has been open since 2010, and serves as a safe haven for Philadelphia Eagles fans in the Queen City. In the announcement on Instagram, the restaurant said it isn’t a goodbye, but rather “a new chapter,” adding they are searching for their next home.
Its last day open will be this Sunday, Nov. 2. While the pub will have regular hours on Friday and Saturday, it will close early at 5 p.m. on its last day.
“Join us this weekend to raise one more pint — celebrating the good times & toasting to what comes next!” the Instagram post reads.
