Liam Hemsworth is ready for the newest adventure in his personal life.
The actor, who can be seen in the new season of Netflixโs โThe Witcherโ beginning Oct. 30, recently got engaged to model and fellow Australian Gabriella Brooks. He says heโs over the moon at the prospect of tying the knot.
โIโm incredibly excited,โ he told Savannah Guthrie on TODAY on Oct. 27.
โWeโre super excited. Yeah, itโs a happy time in life,โ he added.
The couple announced their engagement in an Instagram post on Sept. 12, which featured Brooks, 29, showing off an engagement ring.
The couple had been romantically linked since 2019 and confirmed the chatter on Instagram in 2021 when Hemsworth, 35, posted a photo of them together with his brother Chris, along with his wife, Elsa Pataky, and Matt Damonโs wife Luciana Barroso.
Brooks had previously expressed her desire to keep her private life just that.
โMy personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me,โ she told Stellar magazine, an Irish lifestyle publication, in 2021.
โAnd I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself,โ she added.
โBut heโs great,โ she continued, referring to Hemsworth. โThey (the Hemsworths) are great. They are the most beautiful people and Iโm very lucky to know them.โ
Hemsworth was previously married to Miley Cyrus. They exchanged vows in 2018 before divorcing in 2020.
