Dean Cain is recalling his past relationship with Pamela Anderson.
During an interview with Variety published July 29, the Lois & Clarkโ Superman actor recalled what it was like to date Anderson at the beginning of her stint on “Baywatch,” and revealed why they ultimately didn’t work out.
โThat candle burned hot and short,โ he said. โShe wanted to be with the rock-star kind of guy, and thatโs not me. โฆ Only fond memories of her.โ
Anderson, who shares two kids, Brandon Lee, 29, and Dylan Lee, 27, with her first husband and Mรถtley Crรผe drummer, Tommy Lee, has been married five times.
After tying the knot with Lee in 1995, she divorced him in 1998 and went on to marry Kid Rock from 2006 to 2007, Rick Salomon from 2007 to 2008 and again from 2014 to 2015. She then married Dan Hayhurst in 2020 and they divorced in 2022.
As for Cain, he has never been married. However, he was previously engaged to late singer Mindy McCready and was also romantically linked to model Samantha Torres, whom he shares his 25-year-old son, Christopher Dean Cain, with.
Recently, Anderson has been the subject of dating rumors with her “The Naked Gun” co-star Liam Neeson. In the comedy, Neeson and Anderson play each other’s love interests, Frank Drebin Jr. and Beth Davenport, respectively.
When the two visited TODAY on July 29 to talk about their movie, Neeson and Anderson appeared to be kissing at Studio 1A just moments before the interview started.
When TODAY co-anchor Craig Melvin asked them if there was anything going on between them, the duo paused before they answered his question.
โI had never met Pamela before,โ Neeson said. โWe met on set. And we discovered we had a lovely, budding chemistry โ as two actors.โ
“Yeah,” Anderson agreed.
The “Taken” star added, โItโs like, โOh, this is nice. Letโs not mold this. Letโs just let it breathe.โ And thatโs what we did.โ
