Destiny’s Child Reunites at Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour

A recap posted on Beyoncé’s website highlighted several more photos from the performance, including a shot of the group mid-strut down the stage.

Fans shared videos of the reunion across social media, including a TikTok video of the trio’s synchronized strut to kickoff “Lose My Breath.” One user on X captured Rowland’s cheeky response to a fan during the mute challenge, while another posted a video of the end of the performance, which showed the group hugging and then holding hands as they exited the stage.

Even Oprah shared the epic moment on Instagram with fans, capturing snippets of the medley, including the mute challenge during Beyoncé’s track “Energy.”

“Best surprise ever!” Oprah wrote in the caption. “Destiny’s Child reunion at @beyonce’s final show for the Cowboy Carter Tour. We yelled like fifth graders when they came out. Take your bow Bey, what an incredible run!”

A Destiny’s Child reunion wasn’t the only surprise for fans during the final show, either.

Shaboozey joined Beyoncé on stage to perform their song “Sweet Honey Buckin” from “Cowboy Carter,” as captured by Tina Knowles on Instagram.

After Jay-Z previously joined his wife on stage in Paris in June, just days after Miley Cyrus performed “II Most Wanted” with Beyoncé, he made his return to bid the tour farewell. He performed several songs, including “Crazy In Love” and “Drunk In Love” with Beyoncé, according to fan videos shared online.

Since Destiny’s Child officially disbanded in 2006, the group have reunited on stage a few times over the decades.

In 2013, Rowland and Williams joined Beyoncé during her 2013 Super Bowl halftime performance. They played two of their hits as a group, “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women,” and joined the singer for her solo hit “Single Ladies.”

Years later, the trio reunited again during Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella set to perform “Lose My Breath,” “Say My Name” and “Soldier.”

Offstage, the group — including former members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson — have made appearances together, including at the premiere of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” concert film in November 2023.

The following year in November 2024, Beyoncé and Rowland showed up for Williams on the opening night of “Death Becomes Her,” with the trio meeting up backstage.

Tina Knowles has also continued to support the members of Destiny’s Child after the group disbanded.

On July 24, she expressed her excitement for Brandy and Monica’s upcoming co-headlining tour, which will feature Rowland as a special guest. On Instagram, she wrote, “Cannot wait to see this tour.”

The same day, she posted a belated birthday message to Williams on Instagram, calling the singer her a “beautiful Belle.”

“Since I met this beautiful human inside and out every time, I’m in her presence it’s been nothing but joy,” Tina Knowles wrote in the caption. “She is the epitomel (sic) of Grace class, beauty and talent.”
