Hulk Hoganโs wife, Sky Daily, is speaking out after the wrestling legend died July 24 at the age of 71.
โI wasnโt ready for thisโฆand my heart is in pieces,โ she wrote in an emotional tribute on Instagram, accompanied by a close-up photo of her kissing Hogan on the cheek.
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died after suffering a cardiac arrest, per local authorities in Clearwater, Florida. Daily wrote she’s having a difficult time coming to terms with his death, alluding to the wrestler’s previous ailments.
โHe had been dealing with some health issues, but I truly believed we would overcome them. I had so much faith in his strength. I thought we still had more time,โ she wrote.
โThis loss is sudden and impossible to process. To the world, he was a legendโฆ but to me, he was my Terry. The man I loved. My partner. My heart,” she continued.
Daily also said her husband adored his supporters and fought through pain to meet them when he could.
โHulk loved his fans so much and despite his growing physical discomfort, he did everything he could to show up, sign autographs, take photos, and connect with the people who supported him through it all. You meant everything to him,โ she wrote.
โHe was a believer in Christ, and I take comfort knowing his soul is at peace and heโs been welcomed home,” she added. “Please keep his family and all of us who loved him in your prayers as we try to navigate this new reality.โ
Hogan and Daily married in 2023. โMy new life starts now!โ Hogan captioned a video on Instagram about their wedding.
Hogan was previously married to Linda Hogan from 1983 until 2009. The couple had two kids, Brooke and Nick. In 2010, he married Jennifer McDaniel, before revealing on social media in 2022 that they had divorced.
Hulk Hogan’s official social media accounts shared a statement July 24 confirming the wrestling pro’s death.
“Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones,โ the statement, which was posted on Hoganโs Instagram and Facebook accounts, read in part.
