David Beckham might want to leave cutting his hair to the professionals.
The retired soccer legend and fashion icon had wife Victoria Beckham cracking up when he showed the aftermath of his attempt to give himself a buzzcut.
The fashion designer shared an Instagram video on July 19 of a shirtless David Beckham, 50, looking a little mortified while covering the right side of his head. She captioned it, “Dad what have you done?!?!๐๐ ”
In the clip, David Beckham explained that the head of the clippers fell off while he was trying to cut his hair.
“You were trying to give yourself a haircut. What have you done?” Victoria Beckham said from behind the camera.
David Beckham then leaned forward to show a bald patch where the clippers sheared his hair off.
“It’s not funny,” he said as Victoria Beckham wheezes from laughing.
The singer then leaned the camera forward to take a closer look.
“I mean, the hours of content that the kids have got from this,” she said.
Victoria Beckham was unsparing in her assessment.
“It does not look good,” she said. “I’m going to always be honest with you. It looks terrible.”
Her fans enjoyed the moment.
“Love how Victoria tells him the truth ๐๐” one wrote on Instagram.
“Itโs not funnyโ โ sorry, but it is๐” another commented.
“It looks terrible.โ Victoria. Never. Ever. Change,” another person wrote.
David Beckham tried to recover from the clipper malfunction, posting an updated photo of his hair on his Instagram stories later on.
“Update: It’s the best I could do with the situation,” he wrote.
He tagged his wife in the post and asked, “Still awful?”
Their playful moment came a few weeks after the couple celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on July 4.
David Beckham marked the occasion with a sweet message and some throwback photos on Instagram.
“26 years today you said YES to me,” he wrote. “Happy Anniversary and thank you for giving me our beautiful children and building the life that we have together. I love you Lady Beckham.”
